Job Description

Program Description:  CrossRoad is an engaging summer institute for Orthodox Christian high school juniors and seniors sponsored by the Office of Vocation & Ministry at Hellenic College. CrossRoad offers two ten-day sessions on the campus of Hellenic College/Holy Cross in Brookline, Massachusetts. The program dates for 2012 are June 23-July 3 and July 10-20. 

CrossRoad Mission:  The mission of CrossRoad is to inspire rising high school juniors and seniors to respond to the call to travel the road of Christ, for it is in Him they will find direction, meaning, hope, love, and answers.

CrossRoad DVD Mission:

The CrossRoad Memory DVD will encourage participants to do the following:

·      To recall the gems that they received from the CR theological instruction, discussions and experiential learning.

·      To reinforce the CrossRoad message upon departing the program.

·      To  refocus on the mission of CrossRoad.

·      To remember the life-changing experience that they shared with twenty nine other high school students.

Job Title:  Video Editor

Job Description: The Video Editor will sort, edit, and master edit the memory DVD after the completion of both CrossRoad sessions. 

Dates:  The video editor will receive the raw footage from the CrossRoad sessions directly after the second session ends on July 20, 2012 and will have until August 20, 2012 to complete two memory DVDs for the two CrossRoad sessions.

Stipend: Compensation for the editing and completion of  will consist of a stipend of $1600-$2400 commensurate with the candidate’s experience. 

Responsibilities: 

• Sort through the mass amounts of footage and choose the appropriate segments that reflect the CrossRoad message
• Edit footage and add appropriate background music
• Master edit and make master copy by August 20, 2012.

Requirements:

• Must be a college student or graduate who is an active member of the Orthodox Church
• Competency and former experience using professional video editing software

Note: this job could be combined with the Videographer/Media Director position, also posted on OrthodoxJobs, if the candidate has the experience and desire to assume this responsibility as well. Adjustments in compensation would be made accordingly.
