Donor Services Coordinator

Job Description


The Donor Services Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the IOCC database using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge software and ensuring the timely and accurate recording and acknowledgement of donations.  This position is also responsible for handling donor inquiries and providing general support to IOCC staff.


Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

1.      Code and process all incoming donations, including online transactions, manual entry and import files. Timely and accurate processing is essential.

2.      Query and export gift data for Finance; prepare daily, weekly and monthly gift detail and analytical reports.

3.      Prepare and ensure the prompt mailing of gift acknowledgments, tribute notifications, year-end tax statements and other correspondence to donors.

4.      Prepare and submit monthly vendor match back file

5.      Maintain the integrity of the database by auditing for accuracy, researching bio and relationship information as needed, and updating constituent records. 

6.      Manage tribute records, monthly donors and workplace giving programs, as assigned. 

7.      Provide training and technical support to all database users.

8.      Provide exceptional customer service to IOCC constituents.

9.      Update reference documentation and Donor Services procedures manual.

10.  Perform other duties as assigned.



A.     Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Advanced computer skills, especially word processing and data entry; working knowledge of Microsoft Office; time management skills with ability to work under tight deadlines with accuracy and consistency; ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive donor information; knowledge of Orthodox Church structure helpful.

B.     Competencies: Well organized; relentless attention to detail; ability to manage and prioritize routine tasks with little supervision; collaborative and cooperation with all others; innovative, analytical, flexible, productive, resourceful and committed to excellence in database management, communication and customer service.

C.    Education: High school diploma; Associates or other degree preferred; database management or other relevant field of study is ideal.

D.    Experience:  2-5 years database management using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge required; experience working in non-profits and/or church-related organizations required.
