Job Description

Hellenic College Holy Cross (HCHC) is the center of higher education founded by, associated with, and supported by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. The undergraduate college offers various programs and courses leading to a bachelors degree, and the graduate school offers three programs leading to a masters degree. Its mission is the formation and education of the person within the life of an Orthodox Christian community.

 

Job Summary:

 

Works under the direction of, and provides leadership assistance to the Director of Continuing Education and eLearning in overseeing various eLearning initiatives, acts as the Learning Management System (LMS) administrator, course designer and curriculum developer. This person provides direct support to faculty and institutional administrators in the design and development of web-enhanced, hybrid and fully online courses and degrees, the use of the learning management and instructional technology systems, and the application of sound pedagogical and instructional design principles.

 Responsibilities:

  • Assists the LMS Company in the administration, operation and management of the LMS.
  • Prepare course materials, accreditation documents and new programs as necessary.
  • Act as the coordinator for the HCHC’s course evaluation software.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • CANVAS is the application and environment of choice to deliver on-line instruction for use with distamce, hybrid and face-to-face courses.
  • Experience and operation knowledge with LMS technology. Experience with CANVAS LMS preferred.
  • Bachelors degree and instructional design and LMS experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Orthodox Theology and the Greek language a plus.
