About CrossRoad:  CrossRoad is an engaging summer institute for Orthodox Christian high school juniors and seniors sponsored by the Office of Vocation & Ministry at Hellenic College. CrossRoad offers two ten-day sessions on the campus of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts, as well as a third session on the campus of North Park University in Chicago, Illinois.




The Office of Vocation and Ministry (OVM) and CrossRoad Summer Institute at Hellenic College seeks to hire an videographer/media intern will assist our professional videographer in the filming, editing, and production of the CrossRoad Chicago documentary and promotional video.  The intern will work directly with the videographer in filming the third session of CrossRoad in Chicago and serve as a support to him in organizing the film material, taking footage, and taking record of good marketing material for the program.




Through this position the intern will gain experience in film recording, editing, and marketing and will gain first-hand experience in exploring how film and the arts can intersect with an Orthodox Christian ministry.


**This is an unpaid internship but food and housing will be covered for the duration of the session in Chicago.


Key Areas of Responsibility


·      Help assist and aid lead director/videographer with gear and recording equipment.


·      Organizing footage


·      Sync up audio in post


·      Help film and mic up speakers


·      Assist in any additional filming if lead videographer is not available


Skills and attributes


·      A self-starter


·      A team player, good listener and strong communication skills


·      Creative eye for filming


·      Willingness to learn


·      Great positive attitude


·      Ability to cope with stressful situations and long hours of filming


Experience Required


  • Must be a college/graduate student or young professional who is an active member of the Orthodox Church
  • Strong competency in using a video camera and coordinating media/technology


·      Strong competency and former experience using professional video editing software Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud application such as Premier Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop etc. is a plus.


  • Excellent organizational skills




Dates: July 20-July 31, 2018 (40 hours/week)




Coverage: This is an unpaid internship however, food and housing will be covered for the duration of the two sessions.
