Internship Description:

The office of Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church of the Metropolis of Chicago invites college students to apply for an opportunity to intern during the fall semester. Interns will help with project execution, office tasks, parish communications, and many other projects. Intern Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Parish Administrator with ongoing projects
  • Conduct research for projects
  • Assist with church communications and the implementation of the communication plan
  • Help prepare Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents
  • Assist with basic office tasks and other duties as assigned

Internship Qualifications:

  • Must be a college student. Non-profit and/or business major preferred, but not required
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Able to multitask and work independently without supervision.
  • Willingness to seek new information, training, and resources as needed
  • Ability to research
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Basic knowledge of project management preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in an Orthodox Christian Church setting
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas

Internship Details:

  • The intern will work ten hours a week (2 days, 5 hours each)
  • The intern will report directly to the Parish Administrator
