Museums of Boston Course 

Job Description: A candidate who has an MA or Ph.D. in Museum Studies or a related field. Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred. The candidate should be someone who is comfortable with course museum excursions, intimate classroom sizes, and has some familiarity with Orthodox Christianity and the Hellenic College mission.

  • Where: Hellenic College (Brookline, MA) and off-campus excursions to Boston-area museums (3 hours total of instruction per week)
  • What: ARTS 1115: The Museums of Boston - Art & Architecture through the Renaissance, 3 Credits.
  • When: Jan. 13, 2025 - May 23, 2025 
  • Method: A "travel course" meaning mandatory excursions for Boston area museums led by the instructor.
  • Pay: $5000 for an Instructor with a Master's degree. $6000 for an Instructor possessing a PhD.

Hellenic College Course Description: 

ARTS 1115: The Museums of Boston - Art & Architecture through the Renaissance 3 Credits

This course presents a survey of Western art and architecture from ancient civilizations through the Dutch Renaissance, including some of the major architectural and artistic works of Byzantium. The course will meet 3 hours per week in the classroom and will also include an additional four instructor-led visits to relevant area museums.  

Selection for the position will also require a background check in order to be in compliance with our campus Youth Safety Program.
