Choir Director

We are seeking a choir director, to begin his/her duties in August of this year. Responsibilities include: conducting the choir during the divine services and holding regular choir rehearsals. Salary is negotiable. Please contact Fr. Edward Henderson by telephone or by email. We are seeking a someone who genuinely loves the Church's divine services and strives to contribute to its richness and beauty. While fluency in Russian is not a requirement, the candidate must be comfortable singing in both English and in Church Slavonic. He/She must have choral conducting skills in the Russian Orthodox tradition and be familiar with the tones of Kievan Chant and the Lvov-Bakhmetev Obikhod. He/She must be knowledgable of the order of the divine services (Vespers, Matins, Liturgy, etc.).
