Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our church facilities and ensuring that spaces are properly set up and broken down for various events. Your work will contribute to the overall experience of our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the church, including restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Set up and break down chairs, tables, and other equipment for special events and services.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and carpets.
- Dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with church policies.
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the church administration.
- Work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers to support event preparations.
- Additional custodian duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment and perform cleaning tasks.
